GREEN
GREEN is a game I made for a weekend game jam hosted at Rochester Institute of Technology. The game is a endless shoot-em-up game where the player must manage their health as a resource for survival and also ammunition for their attacks against enemies. The game follows a system of having the player survive against enemies untill their health runs out while earning points based on the number of enemies defeated. After being defeated, the player can then spend these points in a shop to unlock upgrades such as respawning health restores or additional affect to their attacks.
When in the process of developing the game, I prioritized getting the central game loop of surviving against enemies completed first, then focused soley on polish in the areas of sound and visuals. Typically when working on game projects most of my effort goes into programming, but I wanted to challenge myself with this game by taking full control of all aspects of development.
